Money Management

People sometimes find themselves in need of financial management information.  We offer you financial insight through this resource.

To begin we look at the basics:  If you received $100.00 per week for your salary give to God’s work 10% ($10.00).  Next pay yourself 10% ($10.00).  This leaves you 80% or $80.00 to pay for living expenses i.e. food, shelter, clothing, transportation and insurance.

Once you pay yourself do not touch that money.  Treat it as if you have never seen it.  This money is not yours until some later point in life many years down the road of life.  If money can be deducted from your salary automatically for savings do it so that you do not have to see it.

If your employer offers matching funds, stash away as much as you can and without fail every dollar they will match.  For you this is free money that is currently tax exempt.

All that is given to you comes from God:   Psalm 24:1  The earth is the LORD‘s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
