Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
A Godly man puts, God first. Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
In all that he does God is at the center of his efforts. He knows that with and through God he can do all things and without God he can accomplish nothing.
A Godly man provides for his family: 1 Timothy 5:8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. as our creator God made provisions for us, so too the man is head of the family and must through all effort provide for his family. This means working when you do not want to; enduring your labor and earning your keep by the sweat of your brow.
